Quite easily. You watch games, you learn about the clubs history, you chat shit about your club. You experience the highs and lows just like any other supporter.

My mate was born in Scotland, grew up in Namibia, dipper through and through - mainly because in Nam they just had to pick a team, often one they could watch on tv. He went Liverpool his mate over there chose rags. He's stuck with them but funnily his mate isn't really that interested in football any more.
