I think footballers get to much protection and what have you.
Tell him he's playing and let him get on with it
Well he couldnt play last night, because fifa fucked up his registration. Also, he is a 19 year old who has just come off a very demanding season in brazil. If he wasnt a kid, i would agree, but he is.

His last competitive match was the 11th of December, he'll be fine with a month off I'd have thought.
Hehas had a months rest, justlike our players do at he ehd of the season. Dont forget he has played all year round in brazil. He may now need a couple of weeks training to get up to speed both physically and mentally with what pep wants. Remember when sane came, pep wouldnt start him because he still had a lot to learn positionally. Think of this as his pre season. I think he will be on the bench v everton and spurs, and if we are at home i can see him starting the fa cup game.

Does anyone have a feeling Sergio will be gone at the end of the season? From watching us, I just don't think he suits Pep's style of play. He is unquestionably one of, if not the best finisher in world football. However, he also plays with his head down, and passing and link up play is not a strength of his. I mentioned this in the transfer forum, but after watching young Dembele for Celtic, he looks ideal for Pep's style of play. He is a natural finisher and has pace and power. On top of this he is very unselfish and links skilfully with his attacking midfielders with precision weighted passes behind defences. I think these are the attributes we need from our front man if the team is to succeed in implementing the style Pep wants to play.

This is in no way meant to disbarage Sergio btw, it's just certain players suit different styles of play, and to me he has looked very under par this season despite his decent goal return. I also believe he feels this way too, giving the numerous out of character incidents he has been involved in. Strange times ahead if we are willing to let someone with his talent move on in his prime. Some big big decisions to be made...

this is just a wild hope of the scum fans and friends. the more it's mentioned, the happier they feel! FFS stop posting such gash

Oh i dont think he is soft at all....i wast saying that but its a huge ask for someone who is basically still a kid to come in and adapt that fast to not only his role in the team but also life in general in a country and culture that is very different
No mate i didn't think you were saying he was to soft,it's just some of these so called experts in the game think he wont be able to look after himself in the premier league,i think we all remember what they said about silva when he popped up in the premier league,of course the wankers were wrong again, which is par for the course for 99% of them.

Cameo appearence against Everton I reckon if the paperwork gets resolved early in the week. No pictures etc allowed until he is actually registered with the FA though

Jesus I'm not even going to give the poster the dignity of quoting him, but did someone seriously suggest on this thread(The Jesus one, yes) getting rid of Aguero and replacing with Dembele from Celtic?

Jesus fucking christ I give up.

Yes you did! The poster probably hadn't even heard of Dembele 12 months ago. It happens every season - players who are flavour of the month start getting touted as players we should be in for. Kante being one - nobody had heard of him before he joined Leicester and had 1 good season.

Aguero's performance last night was the epitome of everything Pep would want from a striker, that was his best game of the season to my reckoning so it seems a strange comment to make today. His movement off the ball was brilliant, he dragged defenders away to allow the midfielders to run past him, he held the ball up well and brought players into play superbly and got a well deserved goal.

That said from the little I have seen of Gabriel Jesus he's very similar with his selflessness, reminds me very much of Luis Suarez in that respect. If he turns out half as good then we'll have a superstar on our hands.
Agree with this. Seemed to have gone under the radar a little but Aguero got the "pre-assist" for both the 2nd & 3rd goal, and did it very well. Still got his goal too so he'll be happy. More of that & Pep will love the guy even more.

I've never heard anyone say Silva is shit. Maybe they said he had a bad season or two, but surely not 'shit'?
