Not sure what your point is. What you've said is covered under my comment 'Forwards will always have the most unsuccessful touches due to the pressure they're under when they receive the ball'.

I'm really adding to it the factor of the kind of football he plays in, & the kind of passes he often has to deal with, which often makes the service to Burnley's strikers look like Barca.

People quoting stats have obviously rarely seen him play a full game, if ever, so have invented a few fantasy weaknesses to labour him with, for God knows what reason.

There's some guy called aguero who looks decent for us. Probally still the best striker in the world and people ignore it.
 
Why isn't he playing today.
If I start a new job on Monday I don't get two weeks to settle in first

As I've clarified above mate, his technique and touch are excellent. But he's 19 and still developing. He does have the odd heavy touch and overruns the ball every now and again. Similar to how Iheanacho does. I wouldn't say Iheanacho has bad technique, but he's still developing.

I doubt there are many Youtube
compilation videos of Gabriel's or Iheanacho's heavy touches, but that doesn't mean they don't have the odd one.




I think he's going to be brilliant for us, I'm really excited to see him, but people saying he's more intelligent than Aguero, better than Anelka was at that age, and already has technique as good as Aguero's, they're setting him up for a fail and putting too much pressure on the lad.

I probably want him to succeed more than anyone we've ever bought because he's got the potential to be a superstar. But I feel some are expecting too much too soon from him.

Careful as like they did to me they will mis quote you.

No one said dodgy first touch. And I was quoting Tim Vickery who rated him very highly but does raise one or two issues.

But hey when THEY get one a role. Don't let common sense get in the way

There are a few people who are EDS mafia. They will not have anyone say anything that they consider negative about their boys.

They build up world beaters before they are that.

He is Brazil's regular number 9. He scores goals. We want him to be a world star. But if you or I want to say he may have a weakness or two. Or at least areas he is not world class this is the response you will get.

Yeh mate unfortunately some of them confuse watching a lot of youth football with actually having a clue about it.

I notice Devante Cole is averaging 3 goals a season in the 3rd division. Mancini's fault for not giving him a chance ahead of Aguero and Tevez no doubt ;-)

Such a shame,whatever the cause of his hold up in being named on the bench for tonight's game,as it would have been with hindsight the perfect game to ease him in for a run out of 15 -20 mins..
