Managers continue to target him as our weakest link.
Martinez started the trend in the cup final surrendering possession to him safe in the knowledge he had nothing to offer.
Spurs sent 2 wide subs on second half to exploit it.

Sadly clichy is beyond his best and it is obvious that he is being targeted as a weak link.

Now starting to look like he thinks the football is a hand grenade, as well as having a dramatic drop off in quality. Was ok against Spurs but he instills zero confidence.

Left side has been a problem for 5+ years, quite how it hasn't been addressed is a mystery.

Yet again to blame for a goal which would have cost us massively. So fucking weak just letting the player push him out of the way.

I like him personally, he was good in the past but he's the definition of a liability.

If we'd had a semi-competent Lb instead of him, we'd be 4-6 points better off.

It was known since his Arsenal games that he doesn't like playing a high line as having the ball. Typical player in a Mancini team. Not so in a Pellegrini or Pep team.

There were ten good-to-very-good performances today, and then there was Gael Clichy.

Been a good servant to the club and you never hear a complaint, but I truly hope the groundwork is already being laid behind the scenes to identify and secure his replacement.

LB is such an obvious weakness in the team. Clichy would be lucky to make a Championship team after his contract with us is over and Kolarov is crap there too. Nothing we can do till Summer though.
