Gambling Ads on TV

Are you messin ?

I ask because I read the other week how a gambling company enticed a senile old lady to gamble, they invited her to race days, Goodwood etc, they actually took out a person who was certified as a dementia patient put her in the hospitality lounges the lot. The disgusting bastards have now been forced to repay all the money after it was found out.
There was one like this in America where they regularly sent a limo to pick this woman up, gave her free accommodation at the casino, free food, etc, and basically bled her dry they completely cut all contact when she was bankrupt. Absolute scum.

I'd make it the law that if you can get diagnosed as an addict, you can legally claim every penny you've spent on gambling for the past 5 years.

I think it's great, attractive late twenties, all happy smiling faces and enjoying themselves in a 'community' of like minded friends, usually surrounded by bright colours......and they haven't got a pot to piss in.

Meanwhile, the directors and MDs of these firms are pissing themselves when they receive their annual bonuses. Fair play to them.
Fuck 'fair play to them'. I'd ban every last one from tv ads and sponsorship.

Nowt to do with the nanny state.
Making people poorer, depressed or suicidal by enticing them to gamble at every opportunity whilst the wealthy owners get even richer.
Get all ads off tv.
But every ad on television is for something that will make you poorer and the wealthy, wealthier.

Not at the moment here.
Every ad is a fucking bank telling us, via the god awful poetry of it's made up customers, how they are ''there for us' or some other banal soundbite nonsense.
Actually now you mention it, the ads for shiny spinny things you can gamble on are a blessed relief.

It's a gamblers choice if he wants to piss his money up the wall, no ones holding a gun. The casino firms are merely providing a service.
Would you ban alcohol commercials or brewery ads or sponsorships on the understanding drinkers become alcoholics.

Got no problem at all with people having a gamble. I do have an issue with everybody being bombarded all day and night with ads and promotions via tv. It's not that long ago when they were banned.
And yeah, i'd ban booze ads as well and replace them with weed and crack ads..
