Game of Thrones

Watching this season has made me even more anticipated for winds of winter release... the season has been fast pace and necessary for the very limited time they have left.

I can only imagine what details they've had to leave out from the books! It'll all lead to the same conclusion, but it's all been very out of character the way this season has progressed, the much calmer pace of previous seasons is what helped build tension and uncertainty, but this season is more predictable than previous as they've not really had the time to build up misdirection.

Why are they rushing it?

The show runners are only contracted for 8 seasons with HBO (along with cast members). With them being ahead of the books and only going off what George R.R. Martin has confirmed with them, I feel as though they felt it was best to just follow GRRM's initial plans rather than the endless detail in between.

There's a lot they've left from the books that have pretty much confirmed their insignificance now, one being lady stoneheart and the other being Young Griffin (who was suppose to be with Tyrion before he was kidnapped by Jorah in season 5)

Fuck me that was some episode! If it keeps picking up like the series normally do then we are in for a treat in the last few episodes!

Quality is perfectly fine on the leaked copy

Yet some say 'only gonna bother with the last 10 mins' as that's when the action is

The character development in a song of ice and fire has been some of the best I've ever seen/read. People who only watch it for the violence and nudity can't comprehend the genius behind the writing of the story and characters, the brilliance in the music and choreography, and the stylish costume designs.
If it wasn't for HBO screening a Game of Thrones I wouldn't have ever discovered the song of ice and fore books, so I'm thankful for that also.
That said the series itself has managed to take great detail and consolidate it into smaller detail, all without diminishing any of the story.. it hasn't come without it's sacrifices of certain characters and events, but what David Benioff and D. B. Weiss have done is incredible.

Episode 4, fucking ace!
Best TV around, hands down.

Hope she realises the dragons are vulnerable and changes her tactics.
So such drama..

I just dont understand how any one could not enjoy it.

Havent read the books. Will one day though. As for now what's next? Who knows

Good post, totally agree - I much prefer the slow dark episodes in any series, MadMen was perfect for that, always felt like something was around the corner. Favourite Breaking Bad episode was the one where Walt and Jessie are trying to catch the fly in there lab, best acting I've ever seen. Frustrating when people say 'that was boring', they really miss the purpose of those types of episodes.
