Game of Thrones

It made sense to me, just felt the execution was a tad melodramatic. It was obvious that Arya and Sansa were fucking with him in the previous episode as they weren't behaving normally, and his effforts to turn Sansa against Arya were far too obvious.

In fact I think it was a pretty fitting way to go for littlefinger. Eventually he was always going to get caught double crossing someone

Ayra and Sansa were putting on a performance for us, the audience, rather than Littlefinger. That is amateurish writing. So, so cheap.

It was for both. You could tell Sansa was already performing 2 episodes ago when littlefinger was unveiling the planted raven message. The game at the end of last episode with the bag of faces was stupid, it was my major complaint. I can forgive the surprise today as Littlefinger would need to be lured into the throne room in front of a full audience and if there wasnt a pretext that benefitted him I'm sure he'd have done a runner
.

Benjin said there was strong magic that kept the white walkers from crossing the wall and Madeline it seem like there was a spell keeping them north but they just crossed, seems like a plot hole

Night King marking on Bran would be my guess.

Well I thought that was fantastic. Gutted it's a 2 year wait for the last series, I just want them now.

i thought the look Tyrion had at the end was very telling. Really would not surprise me if he is in Cerceis pocket all along.

Gonna binge watch the season again now. Just watching Sam's montage in ep01 now at the citadel, funny as fuck and made me gip with him xD
Fuck all this crossing the wall shit, there's been a disturbing lack of nudity in this series, I'm blaming the left and or the Trump supporters, not withstanding the religious zealots and tub thumping gun nuts out there, oh and fishermen, that should cover it.

Good episode. I'm super curious how things are gonna pan out once Jon and Danny find out Jon's real father. Besides the obvious "oh I just fucked my aunt" there is the fact he is heir to the throne. I don't think she will take that well at all considering she has spent most of her life getting to where she is now. I don't think Jon would want the throne but I could see her turning on him the moment she finds out. And then there is the question of how the north will react. He still has Stark blood but will they follow a Targaryen? And we have to wait 2 years to find out.

Like you, I don't think Jon would want to be King and he'd just let her have it. All depends on how she takes it though, given the 'she can't have children' line, I assume after what happened between them that's no longer true, which might ease tensions, who knows. Might even be the case that they share the crown, he will have sway with the people and she is seen as the true Queen.

Still a long way from all that of course. They've still got a war to fight, possibly 2 wars. Plus like you say we've got about 18 months-2 years to wait.

I was wondering how Tyrion convinced Cercei to come back to the dragon pit. He will have paid a price. Maybe related to how he looked at the end?

If this isn't the official summation from the Guardian TV critic, then something needs to be done.

Don't know how to do spoilers so look away NOW....

Did I misunderstand cersei's nod to clegane to kill Jamie? Why didn't he do it? When tyrion asked her to give the order she didn't do anything, but when Jamie asked, she gave clegane a clear nod, but nothing happened!

Presuming they're alive by the end of the next season :-)
