So the strong magic is the wall? Doesn't make sense, the quote Olin the show (I've never read the books) makes it seem like there is magic that make sure it impossible for them to cross whether the wall is there or notYea but the spells were aimed at them, not a dragon. Dragon destroys wall/spell and they cross.

The spells are woven into the Wall. No point to the wall if all there was needed was a spell.
How did they take one to kings landing if it couldn't cross the wall?
They can't cross the wall on their own, but they can cross it with someone's help.
