Games you think ''How the hell did we lose that?''

Where do we start ???

Halifax ?

Brighton in the cup a couple of years back?

Latics in the cup around the same time
Chesterfield ditto ?

Balloongate

worst of all the Notts Forest 3-0 pasting at ours

Sunderland away and Middlesbrough or Bolton home spring to mind. I'm sure if you asked fans of any Club then they could make comparisons. I once watched Newport Isle of Wight put Hereford United out of the FA Cup after Hereford had gone 2-0 up and missed a Penalty. It ended up 3-2.

Bolton at home a few years ago. Think we hit the woodwork about 5 times and they won it right at the end (with a pen if I remember correctly).
Right at the death too I think
Dunney had a mad moment raising his hand very high

French Tony hit the woodwork about three or four times then Gary Speed scored the penalty in injury time for Bolton. A real sickener but its all come good since.

-- Tue Jun 12, 2012 7:15 pm --

Every game we have ever lost, no way should it have happened

Either the ref was bent or the others were cheating bastards. City never lose fairly, I telling you the truth.

We were lucky it was only 3-0

1-2 at home to Stoke in '72. The greatest display of goalkeeping I've ever seen by Gordon Banks. Cost us the league.

vaguely remember a game at birmingham a few years ago where we went 1-0 up in the 89th and lost 2-1!

Yep it was something like 5-6 minutes injury time. Two other things Shelia got our goal and we played a yellow and black Kappa shirt (was that available to buy though?).

Sunderland away 2010-11 season. Crazy atmosphere before the game, full of optimism and then we miss two sitters (Tevez and Adebayor). Was so gutted after that game, penalty in the last minute!

Awful ground to have the fans goading you as well... ;)

I counted 7 times. Yeah, Dickie Dunne decided a spot of netball was in order 'bout the 93rd minute.

And didn't that cost us beating our all-time undefeated league run?

In the bolton game I'm sure we hit the bar twice with one attempt at one stage. Can't remember who it was smacked a header off the bar, it went straight up in the air, came back down, hit the bar again and went out for a goal kick!

I think so. That was the season where the cracks started to appear under Keegan.

Sunderland last season, offside goal for a start.......
Marginal, a 'some you win, some you lose decision'. I was thinking more about the 25 shots we had and the umpteen corners. We battered them.

it wasn't close to marginal, it really spoilt my new year!

But your right about the 25 shots and that we battered them

I was going to say that Bournemouth game when bishop played for them, they scored 2 in about 8 mins of injury time, but then remembered it was a draw, think we could of gone up if we won?

I thought it was at the start of Pearce's first full season in charge.

You are right. Sorry, I have very sketchy memory (I've just checked it out).
