Games you went to and wished you had been somewhere else

Think it was Fulham at home few years back. We won well but it snowed and it was bleeding cold.

We were singing " we wanna go home, we wanna go home, its fucking freezing, we wanna go home "

I'm just soft

Could be wrong but was that a night match?

I was flying out to the Canaries the following day and had to be up in the middle of the night to get to the airport....sung with gusto.

West Ham away in the early 2000's. Lost 4-1 having been 1 up at half-time. Nothing overly appalling about that but I'd had to drive after the bloke who should have couldn't get his car to start in the morning. Gone from looking forward to a good day on the beer to a cold, sober defeat!

Yes it was - Sergio hat trick if I’m not mistaken. One of the portly ground staff had to keep coming onto the pitch to clear the snow from the white lines - to a chorus of “you fat bastard”

First one that come to mind, it was fucking awful, far too cold.

Blackpool away in the FA Cup we lost 2-1. It wasn’t the losing, that was expected against a lower league side, it was someone puked on the terraces and even though there wasn’t any space somehow a circle of 5 yards was found around the puke. I ended up in the “inner circle” and spent most of the time pushing back to avoid the circle shrinking again and being forced onto what was the most gargantuan proportion of chunder I have ever seen
