Javi Garcia apparently flew out of Manchester Airport today. Linked tweet would appear to confirm it. <a class="postlink" href="http://twitter.com/Katie_Milo/status/497635300630618112" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://twitter.com/Katie_Milo/status/497635300630618112</a> …

His latest tweet about his daughter also says something on the lines of can't want to be back to see you. Have a feeling familys still in Manchester and he has gone for a medical?

Offer from Zenit for Garcia is 15 million euros + 1m euros in add ons. (= £12m + £800k approx). Not far off what #mcfc want.

Txiki is god.
I'd settle for £14.8m + 2m add ons which would mean we would get our money back for Garcia basically.

Deserves a lot more credit than he ever got (his role at the end of last season was important to how strongly we finished, for one thing). Completely underestimated, unfairly criticised, his role misunderstood and it wouldn't be shocking if a surprisingly high transfer fee goes on to confound his biggest detractors.

I don't think another player has ever got less praise or more criticism for doing what he's meant to do, for the most part, very well. With an outstanding attitude on top of it.

25 million for Garcia and Rodwell? Wow. If needed we could buy a great player with that money.

I could more see what you meant towards the end of last season but honestly, if he was as good as you thought, we would be keeping him.

I think we were both a little wrong. I underestimated him you overestimated him.

I recall the Garcia thread, this is definitely true.

I also think he got a lot of credit last season and turned a lot of peoples opinions round. He certainly didnt set the world on fire for us, but his style of play doesnt really fit in with our hi tempo game. I hope he does well where ever he goes, but its not a huge loss for us.

The bottom line is if he goes our team will loose some of its sex appeal the handsome bastard

he contributed last season and was the pick of the bunch of those players that were signed in that mad summer transfer window ie Rodwell, Sinclair etc

In a bizarre sort of way i am a little sad he is leaving but realistically he is better than a bench warmer

He took a lot of shit some deserved some underserved but overall i think his contribution was positive

Well would be disappointed to lose him,he improved a lot as a player and even though he might not be world class but really showed his potential last season and made an Important contribution and a great professional attitude, whenever called upon always tried to give his best, best of luck to him

Possibly true. In my mind he lived up to everything I'd said of him last season. I'm really glad he did win most over in the end and wouldn't be surprised to see him in the CL group stages (and last 16) for the next 5 years or so.
