Love this pic. They are delightful birds, almost fairy-like. Used to see a reasonable number in our garden when we lived in a town, just seen a couple since we moved out to the nearby countryside.

Agree about fat balls being a food source, but I've always been loathe to put them out as they can attract vermin.

Peanuts for sure though, and like everything else I bet they gobble up Sunflower hearts.
 
Was at my mum's earlier today. She had loads of tiny birds at her numerous feeders. Then suddenly no birds at all, except a sparrow hawk hiding in one of her trees. Then as we're watching, a big green parrot arrived at the top of a neighbours's tree. All in tropical Wythenshawe.

It will probably be a ring tailed parakeet they are getting everywhere
 
See lots of Ibis here (affectionately known as bin chickens) they get into the public bins with their long beaks, beautiful big birds.

They always look Egyptian to me.
