Gareth Bale

Bale could be like our Dani Alves if he played left-back but make no mistake he is a mediocre defender so we'd have to play an extra holding midfielder or three at the back if we want to maintain our defensive solidity.

No, he's a very poor defender but excellent as an attacking left sided player. Would be great for when we need crosses into the box but that wasn't our game in the Championship year. Maybe it could be a plan B, we'd need Dzeko though.

why won't he fit in? we have to have more ways to skin a rabbit.dec/jan/feb weren't the best months for city,at times it looked liked we had been found out,you cannot have enough tools to unlock a defence, sheer pace and directness, especially away from home, where we do have to improve, bale can provide this, remember its a 25 man squad game, not just 11 on the pitch!!

Whilst I agree with your sentiment entirely, I just thought it'd be worth saying February was a good month for us on the whole, in fact we won every game we played in February I believe. It was March that almost killed us.

just remember we had a couple of tough months

Why is Bale being criticised for being a winger when on so many occasions last season that was what we were crying out for?

Maybe it's not Mancini's style, but Bale is one of those footballers who is so technically gifted that he can adapt, especially with Mancini's tutelage. He's more than capable of playing as any of the front 3 behind the striker and, when required, he could play as an out and out winger.

Break the bank City, he's worth it.

My point exactly, Bale is what we need to provide fast breaking attacks down the flanks, He is already a proven player and imagine how he would progress even further under Bobby and our squad. I have heard that we could offer both Adebayor and even AJ into a potential deal for Bale.

Hope we get him

Chelsea and rags are strengthening their teams so we're not guaranteed to win the league.
We want to compete in more than just the league next season.
The African Cup of nations will lose us players for a while.

We need players like Bale.
Young, quick, strong, skillful, good attitude and premier league proven.

If we rest on our laurels and dont strengthen & think our team is just perfect we will fall behind , a team , any team needs to improve year on year, we will evolve into an even better team if we sign class players & mancini has my total support in the signings he makes

I don't see why people say Bale is a one dimensional player who can only play on the wing and knock the ball past a player and run. He plays like this because that's the way Redknapp and Tottenham play. I think it's quite insulting to a player to say thats all he can do just because he's told to play like that. I think with Mancini guiding him he could be a great player for us and be something very different to what we have already got.

If he was to sign for us it doesn't necessarily mean he's going to get stuck on the left side of the pitch hugging the touch line for 90 minutes but it does mean we'd have a player in the team who could do that for us and do it well.

100% correct, never thought i`d see the day whencity fans were saying they didnt want 2 class players like Bale and Van Persie, just cant understand it .

if we are selling Dzeko whats the point in buying a winger like bale, who's main strengh is crossing, Aguero and tevez rarely score headed goals
