Well if an out of form Torres is worth 50, then Bale is a bargain at 40.

Bale is a proven performer in the Premier League & also did better in Europe for Spurs than our current players have performed in Europe for City.

Without him, Spurs looked nothing, even when they were in the middle of a good run. Take Bale out & they looked toothless. He's always been one of their most dangerous players v us & either scores or creates chances every time we play them. We have the best defence in the country, so if he can cause us problems in an inferior team, he can cause everyone else problems playing in our team.

We don't have many wide players. He can play wide. We don't have much pace. He is fast. We don't have many good crossers. He is a good crosser. We don't have many dead ball specialists. He takes free kicks. He is capable of tracking back, as Mancini likes his attackers to do. Mancini can double his output, as Redknapp is a philistine.

IF (big if) we can get him, it's a no brainer.
