Johnson+Adebayor+£15 million for Bale is what I'm told.

About right if we can make it happen.

Ade 10mil and AJ 15mil.

Plus we get about 250k per week off the wage bill to be replaced with a player on prob about 100k.
Doubt he would be on a 'little' as 100k
Spurs are renouned for paying shit wages and I'm sure Bale is not one of the highest earners, purely because of his age. This is where we have a chance.

Speaking of the despicable Adebayor, this is in the Mirror:

Manchester City will have to write off more than £50million to get Emmanuel Adebayor, Roque Santa Cruz and Wayne Bridge out of the club.

The Premier League champions were ready to sell Adebayor to Tottenham in a cut-price £10million deal and were also hoping to get some cash back on Santa Cruz and Bridge.

Adebayor scored 18 goals in 37 games during a year-long loan spell at White Hart Lane and is keen to make his move back to London permanent.

But talks about the Togo striker have gone cold.

The £25m recruit from Arsenal is also looking for a £5m pay-off to compensate for cash he will lose when he is forced to take a cut in his £150,000-a-week wages.

Adebayor has two seasons left on the five-year deal he signed, worth around £7.5m. So City may be forced to use any fee they earn to pay off the player.

So we pay wages for Tottenham
We also take a hit on the transfer fee for Tottenham

Fuck off. Just make him play with the kiddies until we find another European team needing a striker.

adebayor is a really greedy fucker. he says he wants to stay at spurs...SO FUCKING LOWER YOUR WAGE DEMANDS YOU PRICK!!!!

This.

Maybe I'm being naive, but surely he's already a multi-millionaire? He has more money than he could ever spend. He could easily get a contract for 80k a week which equates to millions more over the course of his contract. Yes he'd end up with a few million less than if he stayed, but when we're dealing with such high numbers why does it even matter? Surely if you love the game, you take the wage cut eg. Arteta at Arsenal. This is why I have such a problem with Wayne Bridge, I just don't understand.

The rich often seem greedier than anyone, it's like they are never satisfied with what they have and want more, more, more. Look at that horrible parasite Simon Cowell, he's worth £250million and has threatened to switch his shows to rival channels over several hundred thousand quid. I love football but not the wages players get, it's obscene when you think about it how much some of them are taking home each week and it seems to make many of them complete dickheads. The ones like Bridge who take home what they do for doing nothing make me the most angry, at least many of them work hard for their crazy money.

You tried taking a pay cut, drop in standard's? Whether 10 quid or a thousand, it's all the same. It's the life you live.

Yeah cos everyone was fucking gutted on here when we signed Adebayor.

I remember how horrified everyone was when he arrived at the ground.
