the thing about bale is him going would always give spurs either great players in return or a fuck load of cash to go and get great players!! with 2-3 top class additions they`re going to be a big threat.

I think they would be a threat like Arsenal is a threat. Yes they would be a good team....but not a world powerhouse.

unto Pelota, a Spanish football TV programme, can usually be relied upon to produce and disemanate the wildest of transfer rumours and it seems they have outdone themselves on this occasion.

‘Agent’ Francois Gallardo claims that Tottenham have already agreed a €80m (£68m) deal with Real Madrid to sell their prized asset Gareth Bale this summer and that the move will be set to go through in late August, when the White Hart Lane side will have set about replacing the Welsh international and the Spanish giants time to sell a few unwanted members of their squad so as to finance the move.

What a load of bollocks that is.

There's no way Levy would sell Bale for less than what Ronaldo went to Real for. If he sold him it would be roundabout the £100 million mark easy.

But Bale really isn't even close to what Ronaldo showed even in England.

Bale is a £40-5m player tops.

In 101 appearances (in the 3 seasons prior to his move Ronaldo scored 66 goals, Gareth Bale has scored 37 goals in 99 appearances in the last three seasons.

In terms of "offering more" though Bale alone earned Spurs 24 points last season. Not sure about Ronaldo's contribution last season though.

But Bale's a proven game changer and winner, hard to put a price on that but it's not Andy Carroll-esque
