Maybe they aren't his preferred type of player but only a fool would look at Bale and not see how he can improve any team. Doesn't he also play through the middle very well too??

Can't see spuds selling to another premiership team,if they do sell,he will go abroad IMO.

Sounds very likely but surely (Shirley) we have to at least try! Bale is a GENUINE game changer. End of!

I agree,he can change a game in an instant, just don't think they would sell to us or anyone else in the prem....levy,if he chooses to sell, will hold out for a stupid offer......IMO,as spuds biggest asset,it will be levy who decides, not AVB.

That may be. I still can't see Mancini going for him though.

That may not be an issue.

We could make this lad a superstar, our poster boy.We are crying out for a player with his attributes, someone who genuinely excites.

Keep it on his left though......

Mancini doesn't use wingers. Why is he going to spend a shit load on Bale?

because his best position is playing through the middle off a striker, thats why!!!!
You do know there is a difference between coming inside now and again to where there is a lot of space and playing in the hole for the whole game, linking up play in tight spaces don't you? No chance is his best position playing just off a striker.

Cant see spurs selling him tbh. I think spurs will finish top 4 and get CL so no need to sell and Bale seems happy at Spurs

He 'll go in the summer the same as all their top notch players do.

Tend to agree to that.

I'd be inclined to think he'll stay for one more season if they get CL. But, yes he is wasted at spurs too.

Forget Bale ,he is quality but £40 + million and £100-£150k a week probably, doesn't add up anymore.

Could he not replace Marios contract?

Dzeko will also be off the books,as will Lescott and probably Barry in all probability - 350k/week?

RSC,Kolo and Bridge also saving us approx 300k/week.......

So that's seven players he's replacing. At least four of those players will have to be replaced with better, more expensive players.

Educate me Cloughie

What you fail to compute is that he's easily managed by top level defenders for the above, the whole reason he has success off the striker is because he executes the conventional number 10 role perfectly numb nuts, which is playing right across the forward line and also dropping deep, his natural position, just like tranny and where he'll end up at a top level club......

now go clean my boots!!!

have a bit of that as well Lucescu!!!!

Why would we possibly sell Dzeko,he is the only natural finisher in the team!

Spurs were supposedly interested in Dzeko last summer and the Damiao move seems off for good so they will be after a striker. That said, would you sacrifice Dzeko (plus money) knowing he'd score 20+ a season in Spurs' system, to to get Bale? I probably would because we can get a goal scorer to replace Dzeko but it'd be hard to get a player like Bale who could make such an impact, unless Gotze or Di Maria were available.

Any interest in Bale could depend on if we really do change our system next season. If this 4-3-3 is a 'go' then we'd need a good left-sided player, Aguero would go on the right and I guess Silva would be one of the midfield '3' but ahead of Yaya and Barry/Garcia/whoever.

Ronaldo plays just off a striker, yes. Just off the striker, on the left. Bale can do the same, playing just off the striker on the left. Through the middle as you suggested? No, he can't, it's not his best position anyway, nor is it Ronaldo's.

I personally wouldn't let Dzeko go to any team in the premier league. Especially a team like Tottenham who are challenging for the top 4 but need a goal scorer. Dzeko would be perfect for there team/system as well. But I see where you're coming from, getting Bale would be good for us but I think getting Dzeko would be better for Spurs (especially as they'd probably get money off us as well to replace Bale).

Real Madrid bound, ideal replacement for Ronaldo. They can sell Ronaldo, buy Bale and have younger player not much behind Ronaldo's quality with less wages to be paid and some millions left from transfer difference.

He is not marketable as Ronaldo is though and that's only reason I could see that would be con for Madrid to do it this summer if possible.

I don't think we'd ever be ready to pay the sum Spurs would want for him if we'd ask.

He is EXACTLY the player we miss at the moment.

Imagine the room we'd get with Bale playing along side Aguero and Silva?

Add that to the amount of balls we'd get into the box and across goal, Aguero's dream.

We need pace, width and someone who can run at players and more importantly someone who can chip in with goals.

Bob would play him at CB though!
