Gareth Bale

Bale would be perfect for us, he's the exact player we need.
He's fast, skillful, a lethal finisher from close and long range, good at free kicks and a great passer/crosser. Surely some kind of swap deal could be arranged for maybe Dzeko? 15m/20m + Dzeko or something like that. I'd love for our line up to look like this next season.
Aguero
Bale - Falcao maybe? - Silva
new dm - Yaya
Clichy - nastasic - Kompany - Zaba
Hart
 
Bale could be our game changer like RVP was for the rags. We need serious investment this summer and Bale will be up for grabs and we really need to flex our muscles and stop shitting ourselves about FFP. If we fail to spend this summer I feel it will be a long time before we are challenging again because FFP will ensure no one can outspend the rags and Chelsea.
 
I think we'll definitely be playing a variation of 4-3-3 next season regardless of who is in charge. If it's Mourinho though, I'd put a wedge on Gareth Bale being his main transfer target.

Out of curiosity Joehannes, - where would you play Silva in a 4-3-3?

At the topmost point of the midfield three imo. Like at the top of a triangle.
 
If Madrid or Barcelona come in for him he will go there.

I cannot see him going anywhere else if one of the Spanish duo match the fee Tottenham want.
 
Don't think spuds would sell him to another prem team.. i work with a few spuds and from what they have said, he's previously mentioned he'd like to play in europe for a big team like barca etc.. Can't see him joining citeh unfortunately..

Imagine Bale - Cavani - Aguero in a 4-3-3 with Silva behind them. Expensive but how could we possibly fook anything up with an attack like that?

Whats the point of scouting Bale !

I thought scouting should be for young or unknown players, a player who play in different League ( Holland,France...etc) with midtable team.

But players who play in the same League, and the ones who are playing for the top Eurepean clubs should be well known by the scouts.

Looks good but Barca could play with Iniesta - Neymar - Messi and Xavi - Busquets - Cesc midfield next season. ;-)

However Bale + Cavani would cost 90-100. Seems unrealistic when we'll need another 2 or 3 players. Can't see us spend 160 in one summer with FFP.
