If Real want rid they can pay him off, I’m sure we could offer about 250k a week. When we want rid of players on 80k a week and the buying clubs only willing to pay 40k, it’s what we do.

I’d have no issue with this, but highly doubt he will be a signings.

It's not my money so I'd be all for it. He'd score shit loads in our team when fit . Even if he's only fit for 20-30 games a season, that to me is also a bonus as it gives us a chance to give more minutes to Foden Diaz etc. If we signed a different player who stays injury free it has a negative impact on the young lads who I believe are more than capable of playing considerably more than they have this season

Pass for anything more than 50m. Rather have the chance to watch the rags implode with him.

solid thoughts. wouldnt mind it either tbh

Injuries aside its the wages that will kill this one in the crib. He's on about 300 euros a week after tax and if we told Sanchez to shove it when he asked for that I highly doubt we'll jump at the chance to sign Bale for the same price less than a year later.

Just looked it up, given my own wonderings about the end of his contract, I didn't realise he signed a new 5 year one in 2016 (ends 2022). £350,000, not Euros....after taxes.

Seems doubtful. Unless he really wants out due to concerns about game time.

Bale without injuries, yep. He’d score shit loads in this team.
There is no such thing though! He was injury prone when he was young and spry, talkless now that he is old and rickety.

He won't score shitloads in our team. He'd be out most of the time, and when healthy he'd simply slow down our chemistry. Seeing as he won't have been around enough to develop any with the rest of the lads.

And while we are at it, can we just admit he is not that technical of a player and never was.

Why would we want him at this late stage when his speed and agility are about to start eroding.

Makes no sense. None whatsoever.

Totally agree with this.

Bale was always a pacey winger knocking it past and using his pace to gis own advantage.
With injuries piling up, that pace will disappear a lot sooner. A backward step even thinking about signing Bale now.

Great player on his day bit most of them are now behind him

I have to disagree. Solid thoughts? TarnatsLeftPeg is saying that it is actually a plus that Bale is regularly injured. Ridiculous comment imo. Surely it's better for Pep to decide when Diaz and Fodan get a game, rather than leaving it up to Bale's fitness?
