If a defender see's a ball being lobbed into the box and then has no intention of jumping for it, then of course the opposing player is gonna look like he has jumped onto him. Readings defender did not attempt to go for the ball and Barry showed effort and determination to get on the end of it

Unfortunately Van Persie has a never say die attitude as well. That ball could have killed him but he got straight back up.
