He could have been killed doing that.

I feared the worst when I saw Barry leap over Shorey. He couldn't possibly of known that Silva had just sent a killer cross into the box. Maybe he was trying to get out of the way and just got it horribly wrong.

Manchester Police have established a crime scene at the Etihad goalmouth, as a result of an alleged attempted homicidal act by one Mr D Silva.

Mr Silva is alleged to have attempted, with malicious intent, to direct a weapon of mass destruction (a round object commonly known as a football) towards the unprotected forehead of a Mr G Barry.

Mr Silva denies this allegation and is relying upon the evidence of Mr G Crooks, who vigorously maintains that a Mr P Zabaleta was indeed the perpetrator of this foul deed.

Investigations are continuing.
