Gareth Barry

If football was played in wheel chairs he'd be world class - he lacks so much mobility it's unreal! Sunderland had a 20 year old making his home league debut who completely outshone him. :-x

what a load of crap, he's a great player, the sort you miss when he is not in the team.

why post shit like this anyway?

Does far more than he gets credit for and how many of the doom and gloomers think Capello is a crap manager?

prat.....Barry is class and is the main cog in our team, he was my MOTM at Sunderland...brilliant player.

I wouldn't go that far, Lescott was MOTM by far, barry had a good 15 minutes, apart from that he had a shocker, he nearly and could of easily got himself sent off, and i don't even wanna mention his first half.

quality player but never MOTM.

Me, I've been as critical as anybody of Barry, in the past. To be fair to the guy though, I actually think that he has started to settle in (as has Lescott) in the last few games.
Yes, he had a poor first half, yesterday. The whole team did, in fact - and I'd be inclined to put that down to the fact that the City team not had a game together in a fortnight but Sunderland were in action during the week; rather than a sudden lack of quality.
I thought that his professionalism and versatility were a credit to him in the second half, yesterday.
He's still a way off of his best, though.

Incredibly easily replaceable. Been over this a million times, hes not been bad recently (and had his best game at Chelsea); but ive been really let down with him since he came. Thought he could have turned out to be our best signing, but his performances have definitely let me down. Not found himself in any kind of consistent form all season, in such a crucial position.

Id definitely replace the guy in the first 11 with the resources we have. However, i'd rotate with him or De Jong depending on our opposition, with Nige being the preferred choice of the two.

As for England, id sooner have Carrick.

Was poor yesterday but he needs another proper midfielder along side him. Earns brownie points for losing it at that mackem player, who shit himself and din't wanna know

The bloke can't tackle, just trots from bob to box aimlessly, also far to overweight.

You have never played football to a decent level obviously, any one who knows jack-shit about football can see Barry is class...and overweight? he is built like a brick-shit house and does not have any fat on him, look how slim his waist is.
