Gareth Taylor

Posted in general thread but yeah feels like a company man that the board likes, been here forever, since 2011 as a coach, and therefore they are willing to let him fail and players leave rather than get rid.

With other teams increasing budgets and having a go at it, this could be a really grim season if Taylor is immune to consequence

I would like to know what has he done to be given one of the prime jobs in the women's game. From what I understand the academy staff were thrilled when he left as his ideas were not good enough when he was there. Every single decision he makes turns out to be a bad call - last year he was given time because of a horrendous injury factor throughout the squad.

He has overseen bringing in some great young players yet in a nationally televised game they come out and start as if it's a training game. Why? Because he got the balance of the team wrong then though some good fortune and a couple of great finishes we get ahead - he instantly changes tack again and we lost shape & control. We started playing as if we were chasing a game by committing half of our defence so far forward they could not stop any counter. At 3-2 you bring on players who can control the passing and stop them getting any momentum. Losada is built for that. You bring on a proper fullback who understands the position and control the pace of the game. Kirstin is build for that. Many fans can see it, many pundits can see it. Yet Taylor cannot. He has to go he's so bad.
No chance he's responsible for the signings, particularly given how little he seems to want to use new signings when they come in. He doesn't deserve the credit/blame for them.

I can honestly see Chelsea putting 6 or 7 past us next week…. Then the pressure will be on.
We are gonna be given the runaround by teams who shift the ball quickly and have long realised that the game is won by getting the ball into the oppo penalty area quickly. CFC are pretty good at that and I feel our defence will give the impression of being a collander.

Surely he would have a modest input - a manager must be involved in some capacity however small. He has form in not playing certain players Lavelle and now Losada and Blakstad.

Today what made me most mad about Gazza is we get the lead and instead of bringing on Losada to play keep ball, instead of bringing on Casparji to play as a proper fullback he instructs them to keep bombing forward leaving tons of space for the counter, which Villa used - it was perfect for them. That is why he should be fired.
