I think once we've got Lescott, there's little point in keeping Garrido. He's a decent player, but he doesn't suit the Premier League as he's just not good enough at defending.
With Bridge as first choice, we'd have McGivern, who looks a great prospect, looking to get nearer the first team. I'd much rather see us nurture a youth team player than have someone like Garrido on the bench blocking his progress. We'd also have Lescott and Barry, who can cover the position if needs be.
If there's a decent offer from Spain for him, I'd agree in principal and hold off allowing him to go til we've got Lescott - seems like the best outcome for all involved.
