what did kia actually do?

Nobody actually knows. He may have done jack all, in fact seeing as it was Ian Wright who spilled the beans I suspect the leak to him may have come from someone else entirely. KJ is still a twat of course.

Re: Big battle for power on the horizon now

This David Potts guy was mentioned by the Independent when this first broke earlier in the week, and again in that story this afternoon.
Given the there was already a thread on here during the summer concerning talk about Cook resigning and going to live in America anyway, it seems this guy might have already been the subject of some discreet discussions?
Not sure how I'd feel about Dein or Kenyon.
I still don't think Kenyon is a blue by the way, DD.

Ps welcome back and well done for taking your pre-agreed forfeit like a man, rather than listening to the people who wanted you to break your word

Unfortunatley he sent the e mail, if he hadnt then he would still be here, end of.

He could have still sent the email, and still been here today, if only he'd have checked who was cc'd in and removed them, (if thats what happened) then it's his fault!

Email basics really, and not somethng that should have brought down the CEO of any company.

Was it the fact he sent the email or was it the content..I guess we will never know

'Dripping Tap' syndrome.....
Too many major gaffes...

Good Guy to play golf with.....
Milan Bottled it....
Welcome to the Manchester United hall of fame.....
'Not if but when'......
Ravaged with it.....

The last one did him because he lied... his employers investigated him and found him to have lied.. Position untenable... Game Over!

Re: Garry Cook resigns

Good luck Garry, you did a great job at City, hope someone picks you up soon. I can't help thinking that, if the Sheik and Al Mubarak really wanted to keep you they could have smoothed it all over with Dr Onhuoa and rallied round you and given you their full backing. Clearly they thought it was time for a change, and this was just the excuse they needed.

Perhaps they are right, perhaps the next phase does need a CEO with different qualities. FFPR means that we can't splash money around like we used to. The major squad purchases have been made, the major sponsorship deals are in place. The new CEO will need a different focus, and subtly different skills.

Thanks again Garry.

Re: Garry Cook resigns

As long as this doesn't affect the performances on the pitch then i'm not too bothered.

Re: Big battle for power on the horizon now

In a way I am dissapointed that Cook has gone. He has actually gone for a small balls up. I think he was shapinng things nicely for the club.

On the flip, I have total confidence in the board (Khaldoon) in what they are doing here and I think some of the best in the business will be rubbing there hands for a crack at the job.

I am hoping Cook and his team did the right level of work to ensure we are fully compliant with te financial rules etc.
