Garth Crooks' Team of the Week

De Bruyne this week.

Here's a qoute:

Kevin de Bruyne was the architect of this commanding performance by City, as cries of 'campione, campione' rang out around the Etihad from their supporters.

Liverpool fans will hope that presumptuousness backfires but somehow I don't think it will. The title is over. Read about what I think City have to do to win the Champions League in the Crooks of the Matter below.

We were singing Champions because that's what we are slug face!

Have you read the shite he wrote about his "point of the week" or whatever it's called, underneath the main article?

He and Ian Wright say that we won't win in Europe "until we have suffered".
He then goes on to say Liverpool suffered v Real when Salah was kicked off the park and went on to win it the following year and that we haven't suffered yet.....
No mention of de Bruyne being taken off in last seasons final with a facial injury courtesy of Rudiger.
Very odd comment indeed

The general rule is actually that you have to wait until you are shite to win it. Liverpool last won it when they finished 4th in the league. Chelsea didn't win it when they were the best team by a mile, but won it in a year where they finished 6th, and then again last year when they could only finish 3rd in the league. It's constantly won by teams that aren't good enough to win their own league. That's the nature of cup competitions.

He chats so much shite and has done for years.

Here is what he wrote about Jesus last week:

I regard Pep Guardiola as one of the best coaches in the world but he must see that he has to continue to play Gabriel Jesus for the remainder of the season and not persist with this awful false number nine formation.

Forgets we won title and got to CL final using the false 9! Absolute idiot.
