If Kolo is banned and Boateng leaves for Bayern (I hope he gets a run here) then we are short at the back with only Boyatta for cover.
If we are looking for English players then Cahill is probebly the best option.
He's 25 and a future regular for England alongside Michael Dawson.
Shawcross and Jagielka are the only other real options.
Phil Jones looks a good prospect but I would be worried if Komps and Lescott were both out we would be left with 2 inexpierienced 19 year olds in a partnership at the back. OK in the league cup but scary in the champs league.

He is a top player and we will miss a trick if we allow another to sign him.I believe he will develop into an excellent midfield general type.
