There’s still plenty that make good money. Once a business like that gets past its break even, as the gross margins are so good, and the variable costs insignificant in comparison, it starts translating into net profit with ease.Gary Neville aside, this is always a worry for pubs and restaraunts. You gotta pay you rent, staff, produce, feck it overheads. I really don't know how most do it and survive. Not even a former professional footballers can cook (no pun intended) the books to make this work.
The opposite is true if they fall below their break even because the fixed costs are very high, especially labour, utilities and rent.
