Exactly what I've been thinking! I just don't want to listen to his interviews as he seems to be talking utter nonsense most of the time. Well, the technical term for it is 'circumstantiality'. Hope we put 6 past them as well...

The media do go well over the top with their criticism. We know that all too well. Just as they go over the top with their praise.
His is being a tad hypocritical though; his criticism (of the press) is as equally hyperbolic as theirs has been of Chelsea...

I like it. Should make things interesting if managers aren't afraid to have an open pop at the press. Make the press paranoid, play mind games with them, instead of your fellow managers.
We've taken a much more devious, clandestine approach, largely I assume thanks to Ms Kloss, but also helped by the team coming good, and morons in the media pretending it's not happening, and making themselves sound stupid and wrong over and over and again.
On a loosely related note, Marcus on X Factor is doing the same thing to the judges, making them all look like pricks, Gary Barlow has had a lot to do with this I reckon. He's the shit pop contest equivalent of Mourinho

He thinks that City have not been criticised over our Chammpion's League campaign? Clearly doesn't read many newspapers then. We not only have been lambasted in the papers but we have also had people like Karl-Heinz Rummenigge and Aurelio de Laurentiis saying we are ruining football and cheating whilst we do it. If you can't stand the heat get out of the kitchen.

He clearly feels that Chelsea are being got at unfairly. He's saying that the media are portraying it as Chelsea struggling in Europe when it's really Man City who are struggling and nothing is being said about that.
