Gary Speed has died

strange one for me this, speaking from personal experience, suicide has a dramatic effect on the ones left behind and is far more traumatic to the family than a passing in the usual manner.

i believe it is an act of cowardice to take your own life whatever the circumstances and far to many questions get left unanswered and cause massive trauma to those related, but my sympathies go to the family and i am sure that he will be missed by many as he clearly was a top bloke before the pressures of life took their toll.

so why dont all players and clubs that where close to him come out and say you'll never get another interview off any of us

The press have come in for warranted criticism lately for their actions but I'd ask you one thing, if the press were going to print a story about a child molestor living near a school, would you complain?

Meaning you have no choice with the press but to take the rough with the smooth.......

If Gary Speed had a secret and they had a legitimate angle on it, then sadly it would seem morally right to print it..... IMHO

But that said, a great loss to the game, the plaudits i've heard all day on TalkShite confirm that Gary Speed was a top man.......

This isn't a pop at you, more at the general defence that is put up by media types (which unfortunately, you seem to have backed up in this post).

We are told that we have to take the rough with the smooth when it comes to a free press, that if we want to know about a paedophile preying on young kids in a playground we must also accept that it's ok to out a 'celebrity' who is just quietly getting on with his life.

But that's absolute bollocks; there is no correlation between the two stories whatsoever. One is very much in the public interest, while the other is of interest only to sad fuckers who live their pathetically crap lives through the tabloids.

There is no legitimate reason why we have to have both of these, and it really is about time that the British press sorted its fucking act out.

I agree, he may have "found peace" but his wife and kids never will.

I had a lot of respect for the guy before this. But to commit suicide when you have a wife and child, as well as a loving family and friends is unbelievably selfish.

2. A slang word for homosexual

I asked him why he thought that
He replied that my question was f'ing weird and was I a fuckwit.

I'm trying to see if Mr Jolly was not aware of the second meaning of hoyw, in which case my question WAS bizarre
If he did know the second meaning was he insinuating something
