Gary Speed has died

Very sad to hear this news. He seemed such a genuine and level headed guy. I always rated him as a footballer and would have loved to see him at City when he was in his prime. My thoughts are with his family and friends at this horrendous time.

Supposedly taken his own life. Dont know how reliable it is but very sad indeed.

Think we should wait for a statement first about how he died, don't need rumours like this...

Stunned is an understatement. Put talkSPORT on and Bobby Gould was in tears more or less, and then they talked about the manager of Wales. Presumed it was a previous one, perhaps Toshack or someone, then they said who it was. What a horrible, horrible tragedy.
Always wanted him to sign for us in the mid 90's, good solid player was Gary.
RIP.
