£45 gas and £46 electricity. 2 of us living in a 3 bedroomed house. In credit with electricity but we use the tumble dryer more in winter so no doubt the credit will be gobbled up. Both of us out at work all day mon-fri so will only have the gas central heating on a few hours a night when needed. Washing machine about 4 times a week and the shower is electric

Do you cook on an open fire? Or like GDM always out for dinner?

I have no idea how my chef prepares our food I dont venture into the kitchen area dahling :)

Combined winters bills are around 900 per quarter, but summers are more like 300 per quarter.

We are with the Co-Op which was considerably cheaper than our previous supplier British gas.

I meant combined Gas and electricity silly.

ie:- Autumn £900

Winter £900

Spring £300

Summer £300

For both Gas and electricity.

Only talking very rough figures.....been a bit cheaper recently.

Rarely use our gas as everything is electric. Summer it can be as low as 20 a week. Winter it goes up as high as 40 a week. Rare occasions we use gas we put a tenner on every other week or so in winter. Trouble is it's either one or the other as it's expensive!

I live in a 3 bedroom 1930's Terrace, me the Mrs and the dog live there, both of us are out all day Mon to Friday.

I'm with British Gas and on a price freeze until next yr & it costs me gas £44 & Electric £46...

Thinking of switching suppliers...

£20 a week can never be classed as low - you on a meter, because that's a disgrace (unless you've got a cannabis farm going, in which case ....).

Been with NPower a long time now. Really happy with them.
I was paying £178.......
Reduced to £121 after having a lot of credit with them.
Just waiting my October bill and have used 26% less gas and electricity than last year.
Currently in credit £783...
Worked out my biill will be around £300 so the difference will be refunded back to me and the Mrs.
Will be at least £400 refund of which half will go twds next yrs season ticket.They will try to reduce my payments but I keep paying the same to build uo a good amount.
I always fix online.Expires in Feb 15 and I will re fix.

A word of warning. Our supplier changed our electricity meter about 10 years ago, but forgot to change the unit of measurement on the bill. We eventually got them to check our new meter because bills had increased by so much. They realised their mistake and we got a huge refund.

I refuse to go with nPower because they switched us without consent when they were first deregulated.

We pay a lot now with Eon for dual fuel. I think it's about time we started to investigate the market again.

No but I'm also looking to switch, Bulb comes out best for comparison and reviews are decent. Been with Green Star for 12mths and never spoke with them, so I'm not too sure where customer service comes into it with power suppliers, it's all about price for me. Thought I would give Green Star a call tomorrow to see if they can dissuade me from switching companies, saves any hassle if they can price-match.
