Gate for Hull

Why do we have so many arse holes who believe that they are better supporters, because they want and can be bothered to turn up to a game that is best suited to their needs than most.
Some of you should try and travel from Mid Cheshire via the M56 at 5.00 pm onwards to understand that a short mileage is worse than a usual one hour journey.
I have no intentions of going to tomorrows game due to a usual 31 mile travel which will take more than a 3+ journey.
Am I bovered ? Am I fuck !!
Part time supporter ? Probably but so what.Good luck to you lads and lasses that truly are "the best supporters in all the world in all the land".

generally speaking there's no excuses other than can't be arsed because it's not United/Arsenal/Chelsea.
I've a good excuse, I live 170 miles away, and have to be up and on a train to Exeter at 8am on Wednesday morning, I do hope that's good enough for you, I will be there next week if that helps in mitigation ?

There used to be a little column in the News of the world sport section about 20 years ago called 'fan of the week', each week some nutter would write their 'story' about the planes trains & automobiles journey they would take in order to follow their heroes, each week some bellend would try & outdo the previous crackpot....maybe we could start a thread along them lines so we can find out once & for all who the bestest/super fans on BM really are.....

I'm guessing that we'll end up with 35-40,000 for this match. It probably will be our lowest gate of the season but it won't be ridiculously low. Hull are bringing 5,000 and I reckon we've probably sold another 5,000 in CB L3 and East L3: before they were both removed from the planner they were about 40% sold out. I'm going but I live quite close. I've no issues with those who live a distance away, can't afford it or are prioritising time off work to do the forthcoming CL match. We all have difference circumstances. I'll be in Tenerife at Christmas and will miss the Boxing Day game.

I'll say 45,000

The TV and MUEN will concentrate on 7 empty seats to suit their agendas.

Conveniently ignoring the 40,000 empties they had against Ipswich as well as the fact no Premier Club ever sells out Cap One Cup games bar those against the biggest teams

I wasn't suggesting absolutely everybody should be there. The 40k estimate more than allows for people who genuinely can't make it due to money, work, other commitments etc. It's the people who are not bothering because it's only Hull or because the weather is a bit crap that i don't agree with. And lets be honest here, if the gate is as low as people are predicting then a lot of that is going to be down to people who simply can't be arsed. If it had been a top 4 team we'd of sold out.
Why don't you agree with them?

Not every has the same priorities as you, if they can't be arsed, or the weather is too bad, or it's only Hull then surely thats up to them to decide. None of yours, mine or anyone elses business really.

I have a season ticket in CB1 and go to Chumps League but I won't be there tonight and I haven't been to the earlier rounds nor will I be at the potential later rounds including the final. I also won't go to any FA Cup games.

The reason is simple, I haven't worked for 11 months now so money is tight.

I've been watching City week in week out since September 1965 so I think I've shown enough commitment over the last 50 years.

No body has to justify what matches they go to. It's not a chore. It's an entertainment business. I'm going coz it's one of the few matches I can afford to take the kids with me to. 21 quid for 4 tickets instead of 110. No brainer for me, but others have different priorities so don't blame them. The night-time traffic is the only thing off putting for me - missed 30 mins of last round, but at that price it's worth the risk. Weather forecast ok so I suspect quite a few will roll up and we'll get 40,000.
It doesn't matter if you go to 1 match a season or 40. Doesn't make one more of a fan than another. I only get to 10 games or so a season atm but I'd say I'm as much a fan as anyone

I must say there seems to be more and more fascist city fans coming on here, dictating to other fans about the games they should attend or when they are allowed to leave, go for a piss or a pint. Why are some people so arsed about what others do?
The only thing I can put this down to is they are so concerned about how the media drone on about empty seats, and it's really getting to them.
Do you really think that the same didn't happen at maine Road? Or is happening at every other ground in the country in every division?

Perfect for these people who say premier league is too expensive , under 40 quid for a family of 4 cheaper than going to cinema

I've missed watching Silva too much to pass up on seeing him on a cold wet, windy Tuesday night.

Everybody is different. Nobody should be getting upset if somebody else has decided not to go to any given match. Personally, it never even enters my mind not to go to the match - it's just an automatic thing I've been doing all my life. I'm certainly not arsed on what others do.

I thinks it's the other way round.

People not going to the game seem to be aiming to be the superior human beings.

I'm not bothered how many Blues show up tonight - and yes the traffic is bad for midweek games. I can see it being a good game and better value for money than the PL or Champs League!
