Really sad news. I never met him, but from reading his posts on here and seeing peoples reaction who have, he was clearly a top man who will be sorely missed.

I went to bed with GSC in my head and woke up with GSC in my head, like everyone else I'm totally stunned by this, I keep hoping we'll all find out its some hoax set up by him and other posters and they'll be some parody thread popping up anytime now but I'm beginning to realise that this is for real. He was one off here that I always wanted to have a beer with, I've no doubt he'd have been top notch entertainment over a few beers. So sad and puts all things into perspective. Sorry for the long post but, like for most of us, its a struggle for me.

I'm absolutely shattered. Tossing and turning all night thinking about this, and lost count of the times I woke up with it on my mind. Really can't believe he is gone. He will be truly missed by all of us.

I resisted posting for a while, but Sam is on my mind. I admire that someone can be loved by so many who did not 'know' him. A teaspoon of that would do for me. Sam's making people laugh/ smile looked effortless from afar. I'm sorry I won't get to meet you now on the 12th.

Anyway, Big Man, rest easy the hard part's over.

I'll leave this with a 'typical' GSC moment from a thread, not long ago...

It's a strange kind of tribute but a tribute all the same, that I have shed a tear this morning for a man I have never met.
My thoughts and heartfelt condolences to Sam's family.
R.I.P. GSC.
You will be missed.

This is shocking and unexpected news, words can't describe how speechless I am! He will be dearly missed, my condolences to his entire family!
