I'm not assuming that every white person is being gas-lighted and I don't disagree with the gesture at all, I said it's a powerful symbol for black people. What I question is the messaging around taking the knee and the endless political narrative that surrounds it, particularly with respect to whether someone feels they need to take the knee or not.Bold of you to assume every white person is being gas-lighted, rather than just happening to agree with the gesture.

There are some footballers like Rashford who are raising real issues and doing real things about them, that's what we should be celebrating. So if you ask me, should I care that footballers take the knee and then go home to count their money? No I really don't care because it makes no difference.

As has already been stated most people who support the BLM movement have no affiliation to that organisation, and until I looked it up had never heard of it. B&Q's website is diy.com. People and companies have a moral right to do this anyway, why do they need to be told or signalled? Clearly if anti-racism requires this sort of constant messaging then we must all really be completely bankrupt and lost. It's almost like we are all sinners and taking the knee is our weekly form of confession which absolves us all of our sins, if you don't then you must be a closet racist.It's making a huge difference, it's got people talking, it's got companies taking a look at there employment policies, online social media companies are taking a stronger stance against racism - more and more TV stations, sports are taking racism way more seriously than ever before.
