Gender neutral toilet

Nature made humans in two genders, male and female. Have all the surgery, meds and chemical alterations you choose to make you happy, but you will still be the gender you were born. We aren't clown fish of band snakes, we can't alter sex. No such thing as 'gender neutral' humans in nature.

Whilst I agree that the whole thing does at times get out of hand, you're not accounting for the people whose minds are configured towards one gender and their bodies the other. In other words, their bodies might be born as one gender but their minds are born another - they have no choice in the matter. It's hard for most of us to imagine what that must be like - to feel like your brain doesn't match your body - but I reckon it must be torture.

Yes, they are very much a minority as cases are rare, but for the relatively few people afflicted by it the rate of depression and suicide is awfully high. I think that the small inconvenience that the majority of us have to go through in trying to navigate things like pronouns and toilets is a small price to pay if it saves lives and makes those people happier; as long as they understand that the rest of us won't get it get right all the time.

People who object to gender on political or philosophical grounds are not the same as those who have this innate conflict that they can't help.

Your beautifully constructed and thoughtful post is wasted on those determined to prove Darwin's theory is flawed, some of the comments would not be out of place on a cave wall, carved during the early Cretaceous period. Intolerance and ignorance of others, classic tribal behaviour, just needs a bit of banjo strumming to round it off. There are plenty of deserving targets for those who feel the need to hate, the church being one, the cover-up of institutional child abuse is an international disgrace that is swept under the carpet by the police and governments throughout the so-called civilised world.
OK, so this is a forum, for football supporters, where "gay" is used as a pejorative term and where "men are men", and "it's a contact sport ffs" are part and parcel of "fitting in", and MWFC is barely tolerated by "the lads", even so the glib dismissal of a psychiatric disorder as "attention seeking" still shocks........

Spot on mate. It's becoming more and more intolerant on here by the day. The amount of times I've read words along the lines of 'SJW's', 'snowflakes' and 'political correctness gone mad' sets my alarm bells ringing. Usually the go to phrases for intolerant biggots.

Anybody who doesn't understand the difference between sex and gender (which seems to be a large percentage of posters on this thread) shouldn't really be commenting on the topic.
