Gene Hackman and Wife’s Deaths Called ‘Suspicious’ in Search Warrant: ‘No Obvious Signs of a Gas Leak’ and ‘Thorough Investigation’ Required
Gene Hackman and his wife's deaths have been called suspicious, a search warrant says. There were no obvious signs of a gas leak.variety.com
Really ? Has that been reported ?It’s getting weirder by the hour the bodies were mummified WTF
You always give good insight into these situations.I hope it wasnt a horrible end for him as well. Unfortunately as a 95 year old he will have been very dependant on help that it looks like wouldnt have been available after his mrs took a tumble and died. The dog would die without care as well obviously. Sounds like they were all in a house that was unattended for a long time. A heater was on in a locked and closed up space by the news which explains the mummification and drying out of bodies. Sounds very sad all round
Yeah brilliant film that, Hackman and Costner were brilliant in it as was his assistant who always plays a nasty piece of work in pretty much everything. Name escapes me now. That was a class film.
loads of twists.
Elementary my dear Davies:-)You always give good insight into these situations.
My favourite from the French Connection wasThe two French Connection films alone would cement his legacy. But what's striking is how incredibly variable he is in his roles. If De Niro basically always plays himself (not quite true, actually, but often a reproach), Hackman always plays the role and what's specific to it. Think of him in The Conversation, think of him in Enemy of the State. Now think of him in the smallish role he had in Woody Allen's Another Woman.
And Hackman didn't exactly have matinée idol looks going for him.
My absolute favourite line, which I sometimes quote when I'm in an evil mood:
“Not gentle, like before… but baaad!”
My favourite from the French Connection was
“still Picking your feet in Poughkeepsie"
What a brilliant film and his portrayal of Popeye Doyle will live long in the memory
The police will certainly be having a conversation with the coronerRead somewhere in quotes that carbon monoxide has been ruled out and it’s suspicious enough to warrant an investigation. I wonder what the fuck has gone on?
Hahaha sausageDo you think that means that they were wrapped in sheets?

Actor Gene Hackman and wife Betsy Arakawa died of natural causes
Authorities say Betsy Arakawa likely died days before Hackman, and it's possible he was not aware because of advanced Alzheimer's.www.bbc.co.uk
What a sad ending.
:-(such a sad ending - well thats not sending me to bed in a happy mood. Such an awful end. Reminds me of my mums cousin who passed away at home with stomach cancer and her son didn't say anything for week. Apparently the discovery of the body was not a nice thing for the Police. In his defence they were odd he had been home schooled, was 33 when she died and it turns out he was never issued a social security card never had a doctor nor a dentist and obviously never a job had never signed on or anything - to the UK state he was a non person
