Will start just after 10:00 when the Moon will begin to pass between the Sun and the Earth.

It will peak nearly an hour later, between 10:50 and 11:00, and end about 11:45 depending on your location in UK.

We should have a poll.. what's your starsign? And it really should be pretty equal one would think, but I've learnt something recently, some people actually plan pregnancies, and an 'august boy' is to be avoided.. something to do with school

It’s because statistically they are not meant to ‘catch up’ with schooling until they are doing A levels…

If that’s true then my lad must be an outlier as a late August kid in top sets for English and Maths in year 6.

Your lad will be an intelligent exception a few will make it, there is a huge difference between a four and a 5 yr old starting school as you will know. The bright ones will cope but most will be disadvantaged by a late June July August in the school year

Looking to add a Stargazing App on me Android. I've had a look at some recommendations for free ones. When I check them out, it says they have adds and in-app purchases: Star Walk 2 is supposed to be free but isn't.

Any stargazers on here point me in the right directions? Stellarium any good?

give Stellarium a go. To be honest, i dont really use anything beyond the 'live' mode which is where you hold your phone up to the sky and it tells you what you're looking at, which is ace, and very helpful
