Why is national service always the answer to 'sort out our youth'?

Youth services have been cut, education services have been cut, areas where kids play have been built on.

Here's an idea, why not invest in said areas to engage with the youth and give them somewhere to go, which in turn gives them a greater chance of achieving success in life.

National service is a cop out for not investing in areas that need massive investment.
National Service, military or not, would cost a fortune.

How does that fit the Tory narrative of less is more?

He's setting a fire under the arse of Tory stragglers is my guess.
Of course it is. A bit like Farage declaring defeat in the Referendum.

They had my 12 year old grandson voting in a mock election and advised him to vote Labour, tomorrow will be an interesting day for the teacher involved in this.

Be careful how you address them as they could be gender fluid and i dont want you offending them.

Johnson sent this out not too long ago.

I did point out that they didn’t factor in the coffin postal vote, which by all indications is mostly Conservative.

Still think the Conservatives will win, but once again they won’t have a Brexit majority in the House of Nutters.

Another 4 years of Brexit stalemate is on the Horizon.

Getting loads of likes popping up! Ha! :-)

No fucker knows mate but we will all be put out of our misery tomorrow morning and the arguments can get going once again..........

Would it though?

Within weeks they'd cut even more teachers, even more schools, probably wouldn't even need the police any more because those 'pesky disobedient youths' wouldn't be on the streets anymore.

Granted all that's tongue in cheek but am I really that far off?

Anything that's built usually comes from massive cuts elsewhere.

Anyway my original point is National service is a cop out and a farce. Underinvestment elsewhere is the issue.

If there is one thing I'll not tolerate is adults twisting the minds of grandchildren, that's the grandparents job ;) But seriously even though I voted Labour it doesn't mean a bunch of wet behind the ear hipsters get to feed propaganda to my grandkids.
