Thought he was the independent with 28 votes.

I could be wrong, still, that woman was very rude.
Just checked at Labour had a woman standing, you're right. Still don't know who that bloke was. The website has the Revolutionary Workers Party and the Christian People's Alliance candidates without photos. The former would probably have a red ribbon, I'd guess.

So because there was no one centre left you jump to the other extreme? How does that make any sense, better off just coming clean and admitting you are right wing.
You do not seem to have had a good night with regards to thinking things through.

1. I have always been centrist - and I am accordingly appalled by the prospect of Corbyn/McDonnell and therefore could not possibly vote for their party - the Labour Party currently does not exist.

2. There are many post on these threads where I am clear on my views on Johnson - not flattering

3. I am very committed to Brexit

4. Therefore - no-brainer

Labour were in power in the seat.

They then lost it.

Your post is ignoring that.

Absolutely I completely get that and that's happened for a number of reasons.

You're also getting away from my original point that I don't blame them for being upset because of Grenfell. It's been poorly dealt with from top to bottom, Firemen blamed, victims blamed, cladding still in use. It's the one constituency I don't mind being upset over the result.
