Got a phone call today by a lady asking me questions about the election, then asked me about brexit.

I got one earlier too - when they mentioned Brexit I asked what was all this about strengthening Mays hand and the response was with a massive majority she will be able to extract more out of the EU. I asked how that would work given we are leaving, the EU know this and the EU side have already set out their parameters for the debate before any GE here so how does that work. I then got the predictable "we need strong and stable government" to which I responded with mock surprise stating I hadn't heard that before but that I still didn't understand how getting a bigger majority strengthened May's hand with the EU - so I said really it strengthens her hand with her own rebels not the EU to which the young lad responded that Corbyn is unelectable so I said with respect you rang me to sell May to me not give me slogans about the opposition and he hung up.

So there you have it - even telephone canvassers are just calling using the woeful May soundbite script and are not authorised to go into detail

He's a true football fan though. Don't you remember? As a true Newcastle United fan he remembers seeing Jackie Millburn play! The goon!

The major issue being he recalled " sitting on the Gallowgate End watching Wor Jackie". Problem was the Gallowgate End wasn't seated and Bliar would have been only about 3 years old when Milburn left the Toon - and as he was living in Australia at that time in his life the young Bliar had fucking good eyesight.

he later claimed that in an interview he had said it was two quotes melded into one by the press. He was asked when he used to go to St.James park and who was the clubs greatest ever player. Someone he alleged put the two quotes together to come up with the misquoted answer.........took him over 10 years to come up with that excuse....

Abbott has just reaffirmed, by obfuscation, that a Labour PM wouldn't use our nuclear deterrent under any circumstances.
Which means, finally, that Jezza's CND affiliations must now hold sway over Labour policy.
So Labour are now confirmed as unilateral disarmament crackpots, a stance that appeals to their middle class student following,
but assures them of electoral suicide, once the Tories pick up on this and start to pick it apart.
Milibands £3 a pop membership is the single reason a once great political force is now becoming a laughing stock.
