I don't get the argument that companies will leave the UK because we up Corp Tax to 26%. It's higher elsewhere, where are they going to move to ?

But if the economy was strong, real wages and productivity would be increasing, not decreasing. And if they were increasing, GDP would be growing at a reasonable rate, rendering the absolute level of debt less important, because it would be less of a percentage of GDP. The net annual deficit now is about the same as it was pre-crash yet gross debt is far higher. But in 2007, public services were well-funded. So where has the money we've borrowed since 2010 all gone?

Trouble is I don't trust any of the others in particular aspects.
