I am guessing that it can only be down to the desperate need of some Labour supporters to turn a blind-eye to the reality that is Corbyn that leads to people to re-write history in this manner

If he is such a man of principles - surely he would prefer the truth about his past being stated and then he can man-up to that rather than have people strive to hide the facts, logically due to them being perceived as a source of embarrassment

He has principles and if the electorate don't like them he has others.

2 years ago he proposed a further 10% cut in police budget. Election message "Tories cut 20000 police"
All his career he has argued for no nukes and claimed to be a pacifist. Election message "Renew Trident"
2 years ago Shoot to kill is wrong. Election message "whatever needs to be done"

and yet the left have attempted to paint May as making U-turns or lying.

The Hypocrisy is strong in this Labour campaign.

And the idiot Abbott is on good form again today. Funny that she's now gone sick so won't be on the woman hour debate. Fucking lol!

Boris Johnson had a Diane Abbott of an interview on Radio 4 thus morning.
The bumbling idiot tried to have a go at Corbyn for voting against anti-terror legislation, which rapidly unravelled when The interviewer reminded him that he himself voted against anti-terrorism legislation!

I would be a tad suspicious of any politician who had never voted against anti terror legislation. It suggests that they''ve got the balance between civil liberty and security slightly skewed. Its the ones that have always voted in favour or always voted against anti terrorist legislation that worry me.

They will not need visa's as part of the agreements will be free movement of nationals, inclusive of health care and benefits. same as the EU.
That only happens in your head.

Free trade deals don't usually include that at all.

(Not that I'd be against it as I say)

I've heard some revisionist nonsense on here over the years but this takes the proverbial.
Corbyn never opened any dialogue, he was, and still was, until Labour decided to into go full on left mode, an irritant
from his superglued seat on the backbenches. He was never given any instruction from the Labour hierarchy to 'Open a dialogue,'
he never invited UDA members to parliament, he never had any minutes silences for dead UDA members, he had no power, influence,
or credibility and was just treated as some no mark lefty crackpot at the time, with the full details of his support for the IRA now
only coming to light because of his current position. He did not break any ground, and to suggest that thousands of people owe their lives
to him, is the most audaciously ridiculous thing I've seen on here.
The IRA were broken because the British Army and the RUC had completely compromised their ranks, 9/11
had destroyed their financial support, and this was when the likes of McGuinness had their Damascene moments
and decided that the Peace process was suddenly the way to go.

Who are you voting for then? You must be enormously conflicted?

You can't vote Tory - the Tory establishment spoke to, financed, armed, and trained the people who became Alqaeda (spelling?)

You can't vote lib dem - They not only spoke to these same tories they formed a govt with them.

If you can't vote for a man that realised before the rest of the establishment did that you only win the peace by talking to your enemy you surely can't vote for a petty that financed and armed the biggest mass murderers of this generation.

Plaid Cymru or SNP maybe.

If rampant nationalism is your thing

Yes but the groups you mentioned are cunts.

Do we want a leader who sided with horrible sick and greedy bastards, who gleefully sell the £ down the river if it makes them a few bob?

Is that the kind if people and their views that she and you support?

Fuck me this country is getting weirder by the day.

you need to improve your powers of persuasion mate. You are not going to get people to vote SNP/ Labour if you simply believe that those who have different views to your own are all cunts.

Try putting forward arguments as to why - I have been not sure who to vote for Labour or Tory or not vote at all, but its posts like yours that have made my mind up - I will be voting Tory tomorrow.

If he had such strong principles he wouldn't have prioritised abolishing tuition fees entirely over reversing some of the welfare cuts.
