If he doesnt then god help us all, that said would the PLP someone select an equally incompetent leftie.

This election leaves me cold. This is the worst Tory party and Tory leader for years, even IDS was more convincing yet despite encouraging polls for Labour I see nothing other than an increase in Tory majority. If I'm right he has to go, Starmer would be an excellent replacement, as IMO would Dan Jarvis or Hillary Benn, either way, if/when the electorate rejects this latest brand of hard left politics they absolutely must not repeat the mistake.

Imagine Jezza Corbyn campaigning in 5 years time with his walking stick.. that leaves me even colder !

What about David Milband?

And if Teresa does go too, what do you think of Priti Patel? I like her.. she would be a dark horse to replace May (boris the favourite) but do think the Tories need a proper Brexiteer as Leader to negotiate.. it's EXACTLY why David Cameron resigned as he felt as a Remainer he couldn't lead the process.. yet for some reason May can!?

Of course there is

The worst deal would be for us to remain in the EU in all but name.. (no control of our borders, justice system, fishing waters etc why people voted Brexit basically) with no place at the top table of the EU like we do now to influence decisions.

And I fear with Jezza Corbyn that would be a real possibility.. as he seems desperate for a deal at ANY cost. Once the other side know that, they can name their price and Corbyn will pay it ! it's like selling something you know the other person desperately wants you'll make sure you shaft them !

And I'm not convinced Labour's figures add up.. they said their manifesto is "fully costed" but I don't think they'll raise all the money they are hoping to from taxes.

exactly.

I am sorry but that is simply NOT true.

I am a Tory and I care about all of those things. Every Tory I know cares. The government cares.

They also realise that you cannot spend more money on everything when you don't have enough money.

Think on that, please. Making cuts is never popular, but is sometimes necessary. Do reflect on this. It is sometimes necessary.

If a Labour government does not understand this, what will happen to the economy when more cuts ARE needed and they cannot or will not make them?

The answer is, the same thing that happened last time. Lots and lots of tax rises and a deficit spiralling out of control. That is what Labour left behind last time. And Brown was far more responsible than Corbyn or McDonnell, I assure you!

It's taken 6 years to try out the wheels back on, and run the country responsibly. And it's been a hard road for all. I get that. But these painful cuts have been a direct consequence of how the economy was left when the Tories took over. Labour spent money we did not have and could not afford and we've been paying for it ever since.

Im off to vote now........I want the money tree to start funding the NHS, Education,Social Care and Pensions, I want the police service to be reinstated to previous levels, I want adequate Firefighters a proper transport system, reasonable charges for Electricity, Gas and Water

I don't want my money to be spent on Trident, wars, doing up the houses of parliament, decorating the queens palaces providing gold plated pensions to MPs

Good book, wish i was reading it again than catching up on 35 pages of bickering about whether we're terrorists or not!!
We came to an answer in the end and also invented a way for cold fusion to work and a perpetual motion machine but all three were off topic and Damocles deleted the posts and swore us all to secrecy.

I'd just make all the unemployed sit on cycling machines all day powering large dynamo's, Energy and unemployment solved.

And obesity...

We could get the prison population involved too. Sentences would be served in miles rather than months.

I know you're both joking but I'd vote for you to be PMs in a joint roll if you could implement those two policies.
