And obesity...

We could get the prison population involved too. Sentences would be served in miles rather than months.

You can be my home secretary.

I know you're both joking but I'd vote for you to be PMs in a joint roll if you could implement those two policies.

And i'll have you as chancellor.

Simple this politics lark.

Despite all the talk of an awful Tory campaign, they've ended up poll the exact same numbers at the end that they did at the start. It's just Corbyn has been able to drag some votes of the Lib Dems and UKIP.

Interesting poll. Not so much the headline voting intentions but some of the analysis. Apparently affordability of Labour's programme is the biggest concern. More so than security, brexit etc.

At the start of the campaign I predicted a tory majority of 60. Still think that will be about right. Although I did predict the Lib Dems picking up 20 seats by attracting Remain voters, They'll be lucky to make double figures. The absence of a credible centre party has been one of the most disappointing aspects of the election for me.
Sad I know - but I was catching up on episodes of Newsnight during the night.

I came across the one where the Labour education spokesman was being questioned on the underlying assumptions on the Tuition fees policy - he had not got a clue and was unable to answer the most basic questions - the Newsnight presenter was getting quite frustrated.

It was clear that this is just an uncosted promise to secure the votes of current or potential students and their families.

Sorry to say, but is was clear that in reality Labour do not even know the basic factors that will drive the expenditure and costs of the policy properly - let alone where the money is coming from

I'm afraid people have every right to be concerned about the affordability of the Labour manifesto

Scrap HS2 for starters

If Labour don't win, is Jeremy Corbyn toast? hard to imagine him leading a campaign in 5 long years when the guy is very old right now..

Probably go back to been a backbencher Canary.

Sir Keir Starmer is the man on everyone's lips right now. Very popular figure.
I know that he seems to be a popular choice

I think that Corbyn's campaign has done well enough that he will be able to depart at a time of his own choosing and decide on/influence who should take over

Personally I would have thought that Khan should be a logical choice

I'm a nuclear guy. Clean energy isn't there in terms of cost/efficiency yet. Nuclear is mainly a PR problem, if we were all just sensible that's where all the energy investment would be going.

I've always wondered if we could use islands. I know we think of the British Isles as Great Britain and Ireland but there's hundreds of Islands in the UK. Wonder if they could support a nuclear plant?

With great difficulty. You'd need to have all the supplies built there and guaranteed, and in the case of a failure, the distance offshore would probably be fairly irrelevant.

I also think nuclear is necessary as a power source.

Just cast my vote and it was for Labour. God help me but I just couldn't vote Tory.
