I got it in the end. Mrs ww was explaining to me that dawn ward owes Wes brown half a million quid - got distracted.

On a serious point I wish we had a more centre ground party with an impressive leader.
Are there still lots of cranes in Manchester mate? It seems to be your total and absolute measure of economic success.
Just interested as I've moved away from the area.
How's your hero Boy George doing?
Are you conflicted at all by his sacking and reputation trashing ( he was your former hero) by your new hero the foxhunter Mavis.
Answers on a postcard please to ' worsleyweb web I am a conflicted and confused Tory' addressed to Len Rum lounge and bar non conformist society Neasden.

Making the Bank of England independent was one of the best moves Labour ever made and spurred this country onto previously undreamt of wealth.

Nationalising banks would the stupidest of all stupid ideas. We did so previously because we thought it better than millions of people not having a house any more and it has fecked our national debt.

If anything, encouraging community Credit Unions to ensure fairer banking and giving consumers the choice on where they bank is by far the most sensible policy. We live in a capitalist society; one that has given us riches beyond the wildest dreams of people 200 years ago. Much of that is down to the banking sector and their wealth creation abilities. Nationalising them is tongue sticky out bonkers. Like nationalising hedges, declaring milkshakes illegal or voting for the English Democrats.
You have some very complex and, quite frankly, hugely compelling views on the world in terms of their diversity.

On Immigration:

Corbyn was right to address immigration in relation to skills shortage but he also based it on reuniting families as well. Sorry but, apart from children with parents/guardians here and elderly that need family care, we owe nothing to these people - if being together with adult family is an important factor to them they will find a country they can both live in (the onus is on them) - if they expect us to accommodate their able adult relatives they are taking the piss.

I don't know why people think the Tories are the vote to manage immigration. As home sec May had a goal of reducing immigration to 100,000 non-EU nationals and (pretty sure i heard) she only managed 175,000 non-EU nationals. If she drastically reduced it to 0 for the year, nothing in the country would fall part (people already here struggle for work and applications are through the roof for jobs) - there was nothing to stop her saying no to those above the 100,000 cap (EU immigrants were still non-restricted), just prioritise. She proved a categoric failure with an easy task - inspires f all confidence but the usual Tory tactic of repeating lies until it becomes "truth" will con people on this.

More cranes than ever - normally equals more jobs and investment and a booming private sector - oh and more housing. Do you know we need to build a new house every seven minutes to Cope with current levels of immigration. Yet your man won't put a cap on it. Thanks for asking anyway. I saw George at a recent event. His speech was incredible. A great man for the rebalancing of the uk economy and a skilled politician. No need to put it in a post card.

Really? Two years from now a candidate for M'cr Central council seat jokes - " been a good day - no bombs at the MEN Arena so far" - that would b e funny too?
The days of jokes about bombs in Manchester (i.e. the IRA one giving us a new Arndale) ended last week.

As I posted a minute ago, May can't get the simplest of tasks done on immigration. Proven she can't do the job she's been tasked with in the past.

Shagged a bird in Neasden once. My girlfriend to be precise. She was down in London modelling and staying at my mate's girlfriend's place (who was an ex-model). She (my mate's girlfriend) used to date Sean Pertwee. Funny thing was, my mate was the absolute spit of.....Sean Pertwee. Whenever we went out, someone asked him if he was Sean Pertwee! This was after their relationship had started. Must have driven him nuts.

As far as I'm aware, they're still together btw. Make of that what you will (she was very fit, might explain it from his point of view, I guess.)

Cranes are a decent barometer of a city's current trajectory btw. Good yardstick.

Would be frightening how high it would have been under labour.

Ah well not many cranes where I live so we're fcuked then?
How did you match up with Sean in the erm .....gentleman's department?
Not favourable I would guess?

Just commented on Labour's stance from this evening but the "this and that would have been so much worse under Labour" needs to stop, there's no proof in the pudding - maybe subjectively you'd probably be right to think that under a Blair/Brown government but this Labour is totally different and hasn't been road tested. The Tories have proven to have created a myth about Labour mismanaging things. There are other factors at play each time markets and political climates change but the borrowing that Tories lambast Labour for rocketed up under their governance. They are criminal liars and con artists. I say this as a very objective person, I take everything consciously unbiased and evaluate as is - it may well be this graph would have looked similar under Labour, it may have been necessary but if it looks bad on anyone it's the Tories.

I think you're confused. I never had any contact with Sean Pertwee. Direct or indirect. My mate was his lookie-likee, not me. They shared the same girlfriend.

In answer to your 'tackle' question; probably smaller.
In answer to your final question; it has not hindered me so far, hence the model girlfriend.

Thanks for the reason why the post was removed although while I accept the reason it's funny how people can't discuss properly the amount of people that have died and the reason they have died. Think I'll leave the thread for a few days and allow the bullies to get their way as usual.
At the end of the day there are people dying all over the world. The sooner people accept that every life is the same value then the quicker we will find a resolution

No, I meant the woman who gleefully was talking about how together the community have been and made a joke without thinking.

Are you two desperately TRYING to be offended at this completely innocuous thing?
No. But thanks for checking. I know I should've pm'd you to check what reaction I should've had, but y'know it's Bank Holiday and it's late, and you're always busy these days, so I just went with my gut... I cringed. Sorry.

Innocuous? Are you desperately trying to be not offended?

There are a million other things that she could've said. But no, she went with that comment, which obviously was going to cause offence to some, and it seems hilarity to others. You never can tell...

There are no bullies, I caught the bit of your post that got it removed and the mods no doubt did you a favour and saved you from a lot of angry replies. If you wanna go down that route don't do it on a Manchester based forum. You showed a clear misunderstanding of ISIS who want to kill anyone who is a "non-believer" and don't conform to their extremities by the way, if you need to discuss it with anyone on here I'll offer you the chance to PM me and I'll tell you why your post was utterly stupid - not in here, the mods will remove it again.

Graphs are my specialty and I think you've read it wrong if you believe your last sentence.
