As usual Daisy Cutter sums it up nicely:

if Labour had taken 20,000 police off the streets and Britain been hit by 3 terror attacks in a year their position would be untenable.
The Home Secretary has refused to rule out further police cuts following a Labour election pledge to put 10,000 more police officers on the beat

In an interview on Tuesday (May 2nd) it was suggested to Amber Rudd that she had made “no promise on numbers, no promise on budget”.

“We will have to see what comes out with the manifesto,” the Conservative MP told BBC Radio 4’s Today programme.

At least they've not cut army numbers by 20,000 at the same time.....

Or that fuckin shithouse of a Coward May. The spineless fuckin ****.
Some excellent points and you've nearly converted me to your view point with the depth of your debate.

Where do you stand on the triple lock going? Do you think the double lock is sufficient?

I understand u turn Teresa has come up with a four point plant plan of anti terrorist measures.
Here are four low hanging fruit measures she could have chosen:
1.Stop getting involved in conflicts in the Middle East that leave countries as wastelands and breeding ground for terrorists.
2. Stop supplying arms to countries like Saudi Arabia and Quatar who support ISIS.
3. Reverse the cuts since 2010 that you have made to the police, security services and border controls.
4. Stop threatening to withdraw security cooperation with Europe as you did in your Article 50 letter.
Simples!
You need to get out more Len.

And it's Qatar. No 'u'. When you say Qatar supports ISIS, do you mean on a governmental level?

Tell me great sage, which particular part of "the electorate have always viewed Labour as being crap on law and order and the Tories the opposite".

Go on, give your best shot. Lets here your attempt at a cogent argument to counter the above.

You're missing the point mate.
The original poster stated correctly that Labour would have been slaughtered had police numbers been cut and three terrorist attacks then occurred in the space of three months. But as he pointed out the same standards did not apply to the Tories.
You countered this by effectively stating that the Tories are allowed to fcuk up on security because they are more trusted on it than Labour and then went on to make a stupid comparison of missed penalties by Aguero/ Jon Macken.
Hence Nurse!

I'm not missing any point Len. The Tories have traditionally been trusted on law and order more than the Labour party has, for which it's never been a strong card. And therefore had they been in power right now, yes they would get heavily criticized, and probably more than the Tories have been. People don't trust Labour on this topic - at least they have not in the past - as much as they do the Tories. Whether that's all about to change we'll see over the next week.

That's fine. As long as it's the party we trust doing all the cutting, it'll all be ok.

I don't know why it has to be such a ****ing argument. I merely stated that traditionally the Tories have been trusted on law and order more than Labour has. OK?

It's amazing how the media still quote the polls as if they've got everything right in the last few years. I'm sure some of it is just guesswork.

Its guesswork as to how many students will get out of bed and vote,

Ooohhhhhhh, that's shocking. They'll all be up and voting for our Jezza, as every vote counts.

got to do my postal vote tonight, never been so undecided, I guess I just liked Cameron.

Dare you go with someone who's never been in any government, never had any position of any actual responsibility, never actually delivered on anything. Merely protested about everything. But who promises he'll fix it all and says hardly anyone will have to pay for it?

Brave choice if that's what you decide.

It's whether I want to give someone who's never had the chance, the opportunity, or stick with someone who's presided over particular positions of importance which have been so poorly executed that we now have British Citizens being blown up and stabbed to death on a regular occurrence, and has displayed no inclination to really take hold of the situation and improve it.

You can only blame so much of a lack of creativity, genuine bright ideas and boldness on protecting the economy. There was so much scaremongering over Brexit on both sides which I felt was hyperbole, and the end result I don't think hurts a tenth as much as people are saying. I feel the same over this election, have read the top 3 parties manifestos and having eliminated the Lib Dems, have a decision to make.

Well Corbyn has shown his balls to the electorate now. Great speech, agree with every single word. He sound very much like a PM elect.

That was a great speech. Did he have autocue? If that was without notes, even more impressive. I've just seen the clip of May telling the Police Federation to stop crying wolf. That's gonna sting.

I have never seen him reading from a script yet, unlike the professional script reader. I don't know if he has autocue but if he doesn't it's very impressive.

If Labour want to win they need to get Farage on board now!
Replace Abbott and Labour party on to a winner, Trump loves him and he can sort out Brexit.
