Very good is a comparative, but certainly not a superlative.

She could've said "excellent" or "the best" or "superb" or any other superlative meaning the the resources are the best possible. But she didn't, because they're not.

She's hardly going to say that they're inadequate, as the person responsible for those resources, is she?

I'd say it is desperate to say that Labour supporters on this thread/poll are Leninists. It's almost as if they're a "Basket of Deplorables"...

As usual with elections it's the moderates in the middle who will decide, not the mouth foamers at either end of the spectrum and, as one of those moderates and speaking to others, then I/we want change from the usual bullshit that we've been fed from both/all sides since Thatcher.

I do think the Tories will "win", but I also thought we'd vote to remain, although I did think Trump would win, so you never can tell with expectations. But if she does "win" it will no doubt be a Pyrrhic victory for her and actually the whole country too, because we'll be heading into Brexit with a lame duck PM.

Let's not forget that She called this election, not Labour, so anything other than a huge win for her then she's gone. And then what?

Today I heard her say "enough is enough..." and "we need to change...". Yes Theresa, We do!

I'm not replying to all of it, some I agree with some not.

But do you genuinely not think the circa +20% lead she took into this campaign was a huge lead? All the commentators called it a huge lead and when you think Cameron's lead in 2015 was circa +1%, I'd say +20% was pretty huge.

And how does claiming it was a huge lead in any way sound "desperate"??? I am shocked to be honest at how she's managed to squander such a huge lead. I am certainly not using it as bragging points: Quite the opposite.

EDIT, the Tory lead going into this election was the 2nd highest of any party since 1945, and according to some recent polls, the highest ever. So yes, it was a huge lead. So I have just won that argument.

The FT did an article on the funding of Syrian rebels that revealed the Saudis were supplying weapons and munitions from croatia through jordan to Jiash-al-fatah who had in their ranks al-nusra.
A foĺlow up article revealed local arms dealers were then selling on these arms to Isis and it was common knowledge in the region.
This was all in our press and known yet our government have continued to deal with the saudi's and ignored this.
For me Mays words are hollow rhetoric, She has cut policing, emergenct services, border guards and the armed forces, and continued to refuse to condem the saudi's in the arms deals or erdogan for his illegal trade in oil with with isil.

Here are four low hanging fruit measures she could have chosen:
1.Stop getting involved in conflicts in the Middle East that leave countries as wastelands and breeding ground for terrorists.
2. Stop supplying arms to countries like Saudi Arabia and Quatar who support ISIS.
3. Reverse the cuts since 2010 that you have made to the police,security services and border controls.
4. Stop threatening to withdraw security cooperation with Europe as you did in your Article 50 letter.
