Courtois not elite in my estimation, but Gary Neville believes he is.

I don’t think there’s much between him and Navas, so not a massive upgrade for Madrid. I think his performances for athleti and in the World Cup probably swung them over De Gea, who seemingly hasn’t convinced on the international stage.
Interesting to see how Madrid compensate for Ronaldo’s 40+ goals. Courtois isn’t that much of a game changer for me on that front.

Wierd move for Rose that.SSN - Danny Rose on loan to Schalke.
I'd have taken him on loan if we aren't signing a midfielder. Delph will likely play in midfield a fair amount next season so nobody to cover for Mendy.
