They can't ask for more than the release clause. Well I guess they can but clubs wouldn't have to pay it, or else what would be the point of a release clause?

Agree, at a time him and Matthias Ginter (for BM) were tipped to be the next best centre halves that Germany would be blessed with. Where has spurs money come from? Huge outlay on a new stadium, no champs league football, no fans, tv rebates. Yet somehow theyve signed Bale (albeit not his whole wage), Reguilon and looking at more big fees.
